I had driven that Miata before but it had a different setup. It’s very well set up but it’s difficult to approach the limit, and this was only the second run I drove it.
I’ve been autocrossing the Sonic for two years and have done 3 events a month for the past 7 months or so. I have it mastered

I took the Subaru to its first track day (mine too) a couple of weeks ago. Janet, (who DD’s it) was all for it before we got there. That changed after we got there.
She initially was good with it, but realized it required more aggressive driving than she thought.
She thought I would blow up the car. She refused to drive it on the track.
I was being so gentle on that car because I did not know the track.
The funny thing was, she drives that thing, on the street, like I did on the track.
